It's been a long while since my last update here. I've done some more work on my lots - and distributed the plants to where they are best utilised. My fish and bug collections have grown, the bugs more than the fish more recently though.

However, I decided to put some time aside to update more of the society pages, namely Badruu, Caleri and Chayne's during my early days here. Hopefully one day I will get all caught up and I'll be able to give more current updates.

And of course, we have some new visitors, Subira, a Watcher from the Order and a muujin. The hunters will be happy to have something other than chapaa and sernuks to hunt. It will be a while before I get to talk about Subira in the Society pages but I will as soon as I get caught up.

It's been a while since my last update here. I've been somewhat busy what with the Maji Market, and the new temple puzzle to solve. I've also done a makeover with my house and expanded it somewhat. I've also extended to my other lots and in the process of separating my crop growing and fish collection to one and plant my new tree seeds to create forests for my insect collection.

However, I did manage to add more to the society pages with some of Elouisa's lore being written up. Don't worry, there will be more soon.

Started on Auni next. There isn't much there at the moment but it will highlight his energy and enthusiasm for us humans. But don't worry, I haven't forgotten about the Maji Market. It still has a while before it moves on to the next location but I took pictures and made notes. There will be an article regarding it soon.

As you can see I haven't written any articles for a while now. This was mainly due to the abundant of information I have sourced from the locals. The current article format wasn't condusive to ongoing additions and I was easily losing track of where I was with the information I had. So, I have decided to do things slightly different. I have updated the society pages with the page on Ashura demonstrating the new layout going forward. I will gradually add the other locals to the list.

I managed to sneak in some maps before the printing press went down it seems. Hopefully more of my articles will appear once things are back up and running. Although I hear there is a Maji Market happening so I may wait until I have some pictures from that.

It doesn't rain, but it pours as the saying goes, or so I am told by Einar who has been around the ancient humans the longest. Despite having written up my articles the printing press had stopped working. Hopefully it won't take them long to get the parts they need for that.

Oh my dragon. I am definitely liking that phrase. Apologies for the lack of reports the last few days. It appears Jina had the one an only writing instrument in Kilima, so I have to take a trip to Bahari City in the hopes that one of the scribes there knows of a shop where I could purchase one. Success. My work continues.

Oh my Dragon! I'm starting to like that phrase. It appears the influx of new humans have made the chapaas go crazy again and they have overrun the town. The villagers have locked up and barricaded themselves in their homes, again! Guess I will do the same and yet again go through some photos and notes to see what has happened to me the last few days that are newsworthy.

Nevermind, it appears they just wanted to say hi. Yes, I am just as confused as you about that, they usually run the moment they see me.

Nope, I was right the first time. Everybody back home.

Oh my Dragon! As Jina says often. I heard that a ton of humans will be arriving today, and possibly every day for a long while. I wonder if they will need to shrink our plots somewhat to fit everyone in. Hmm.

I have a bunch of pictures and notes to compile but I did managed to collect some of those items for the ancient temple thing I mentioned last time.

Well, it seems like Jina isn't able to help me figure out why I came here until I get those items mentioned in the ancient temple we discovered a few days back. They don't sound easy to get either, so I might be a while getting that stuff. I'll show you the stuff I need in the adventurer's section of the paper.

Ah, no wonder the locals were closing up shop and hiding in their houses. More humans arriving. I am getting concerned that this small area they have been giving us might run out before the humans arriving stop. We will have to wait and see. No paper updates this time, I've been a little bit busy organising stuff, so hopefully there will be a significant update with my next post.

It appears there is a storm brewing somewhere. The locals have locked up shop and gone home. I can't even hear the chapaa's, so maybe it isn't them for a change. Hopefully it blows over soon. But in the mean time, I'll go throw my picture collection and notes ready for the next report update.

I did some more exploring today and stumbled across a memorial area. I took plenty of photos, so spent some time indoors compiling a kind of scrap book collection of the inscriptions and posted them in the section below.

After a long night of sleep I was more energised to go through the photos I had taken and organise them for easy retrieval when I need them. I've hooked out some for the paper and put them in the sections mentioned below.

Just when you thought it was safe to come out of the bunker. Barely had time for anything before the chapaa's pulled their crazy stunt again. I may just go to sleep, if I can.

It appears the chapaas came back again. The locals seem to just close up shop and go home, so I decided to do the same and went back to the bunker and planned my next articles. But hey, good news, my house has finally been built and I am now acquiring furniture. The cheap stuff first though. Gold is not easy to get. I met a few more locals today. A varied bunch for sure. I'm sure I'll chat about them at some point. And, oh yeah, I'm self sufficient now. I can now provide for myself, I have a garden for growing food and can fish and forage. Before the chapaas went on the rampage again I did manage to explore somewhat. And heard about more new arrivals. I sure hope they have space for all of us.

More humans have been seen arriving in Palia again, I am seeing more of us running around the otherwise quiet and serene world we appear to have been thrown into. The locals appear to be friendly but it's early days yet. I should start speaking to more of them and see if anyone knows what happened. But between Ashura and Hodari giving me woodcutting and mining tasks to do I'm all tired out. But, at least I got some photo's taken of my home they gave me. Oh, looks like I need to add a column so I can gush about my home once it all prettified. Unfortunately, not had much time to sort out the rest of my notes and photos Maybe after I have my cottage finished. Hmm. Yes, let's do that.

It appears chapaas caused some chaos tonight for several hours. I hid in my bunker while they did what came natural to them. I had a bunch of pictures and notes to write up for the paper anyway so lit a candle and got writing, trying to ignore the noise. I managed to add some details on the following areas of interest before finally succombing to sleep.

Welcome to Palia News Network.

The idea came to me 2 years ago once I heard of how unique the Palia servers were going to be for players. Not tied to a specific server. No need to select one to join. And, you can switch to another server to join a friend if they are on another server. The fact that there is one whole world that everyone will be on, even if the physical server/virtual instance is different, is amazing and opened my eyes to the possibility of advertising space - cross server connection possibilities. But I digress. 2 years down the line, and a serious rethink... and tada. This was made. It's not much but I will detail things below.

Some of you may have stumbled across my many welcome posts, or random adverts, or maybe even one of my responses to questions posed in their main public channel on discord. Yes folks, it's me Wikibot. At the time this hopefully goes live I should be 3.5.0 in time for the Closed Beta kick off.

For 2 years now I have been watching Palia grow from a toddler making it's first steps to a child about to go on it's first school trip. There will be rough scrapes. They'll fall down, but, their parents are Singularity 6 and they will pick them right back up, fix the scrapes and let them back out to play.

But good news folks. We can get to play with them. And, starting today (2nd August 2023), a lucky selection will step through the gates to Palia for Day 1 of Closed Beta. Thankfully this will be short and immediately followed by Open Beta on 10th August.

The Cunning Plan
Palia will have an evolving world story, featuring an epic fantasy adventure that will take years to unravel.

It sounds like I may be in Palia for a long while because I absolutely must solve that mystery. Now, I may not be in game 24/7 but, I will endeavour to play a little each day and relay some of my adventures in the game to you as newspaper articles in one or more of the various categories above. This page will not contain anything that is a spoiler. However, information in the links above, might well do. So, to make it easier for you to choose which spoilers to access, I will keep them categorised.

Refer a friend isn't a get into Closed Beta now type of thing. ( In case you were reading this before closed beta finishes ). Over time the Breaking News segment will be shifted here so that the most recent news will be on this page, and the less recent accessible from there. I will probably put a month/quarter of news on each page and connect them to the main page.

Nature's Nook :

Palia has a few creatures roaming its landscape and aquascape as well as plants, but I am sure there will be more added over time as they add more areas with different plants and animals.

I'll probably segregate these over time as the page grows with my additions. Everybody loves less scrolling right ?

Society Pages :

The NPCs are a major part of Palia's lore. With interconnected story lines to uncover over time. All you will be able to befriend, some you will be able to romance. I personally won't be dealing with the romance side of things but I aim to max out the friendship bar with all of them. As I learn more and more about them I will add their details here. And, when necessary, give them each a page of their own.

Archaelogists Dig :

Will likely be where alot of my posts will be. As I aim to do a lot of digging and rooting around with Jina to help her write her thesis. Although not a bonafide skill in itself ( not that I didn't ask if it would be possible later ) there is a chance that you will find something that may interest various people around town and linked to the lore in some way. I will add any I come across and slowly expand my knowledge over them via these pages.

Adventurer's Surprise :

Any adventures I have during my time in Palia will be portrayed here.

Gardener's Plot :

Now this is going to be my primary skill, so, this will contain stuff I come across that relates to gardening.

Cooking Corner :

Whilst I don't plan on doing much cooking, no newspaper should be without a recipe or two.So will try to find some.

Home Sweet Home :

Probably will be used to show off my house.

For now I have removed the sections that I just haven't seen anything worthy of news yet. At least in my gameplay.
