He told me that the ancestors of the village have their shrines at the remembrance garden and I could pay my respects to them there if I wanted to. However, their bodies are not there as they do not bury their dead. Instead, they take their loved ones on a long pilgrimage to a Wellspring, birthplace of Flow. All these unusual words that I don't appear to know like most others. What is this Flow he talks of?

12th August 2023

Chayne told me today that Maji oversees the weather bringing sun and rain as needed. I guess rain hasn't been needed in a long while as I haven't seen any since I arrived here. For some reason that seems unusual to me. Maji also prefers balance rather than a particular side of the scale.

Later that night he told me that his favourite constellation was the Oak tree and described it as having its roots taking substance from the cosmos and its fruit dipping just below the horizon giving life to Palia.

10th August 2023

When I spoke to Chayne today he told me that unlike many other Majiri he believes the Galdur's pursuit of Oneness was a kind of spiritual endeavour and not simply machines.

8th August 2023

I bumped into Chayne on his evening walk and he suggested I do the same if I wanted to bathe in Maji's glory. He asked if I wanted to join him in his morning prayers and later when he was going to do his evening meditation. I politely declined both times.

When I told him that I was seeking knowledge on why I was here, he said that Embra and Maji will let us know in time.

When I popped around to his place of work and asked him what he knew of the future, he responded with a cryptic answer about all roads leading to it, it being death for which all things go to and is both our future and our path. Yes, he lost me there too.

He suggested I go to the Remembrance Garden and pay my respects and gave me a candle to do so. When I returned to him afterwards he told me that they honor their stories and expect to join them across the veil that separates life from death.

7th August 2023

When I next spoke to Chayne, he cryptically mentioned that something named Ignus had come alive with fiery movement since us Humans had arrived. I wonder what that means? When I said that maybe it was responding to us Humans he said that maybe we were affecting the celestial bodies.

He mentioned that he had created a garden at the Dragon Temple and asked me if I had any potato seeds. Fortunately I had so ran back to more seed store and grabbed some for him.

4th August 2023

It took a while before I found Chayne but I stumbled upon him on a visit to the inn one evening. He called me Phoenix's child. I wonder what that means?

He introduced himself as the local ritual sage and is a devotee of the Great Dragon Maji. Whoever that is. His job is to take care of the villagers health both physical and spiritual. Embra is the name of the Phoenix he mentioned before. Hopefully I will get to learn more about Maji and Embra during my stay here. He did offer his services if I needed to chat about things.

When I asked him if he needed anything he told me that Brightshrooms make a tea to help with meditation.
