Eshe

Eshe

Eshe told me today to ignore Kenli if he talks about a monster in the Elderwoods. Not that I know where they are. But apparently, according to her, it is childish drivel.

Reth asked me to deliver some food to Eshe. Needless to say she wasn't pleased.

She told me that her chef Enzo had quit and she had been struggling to find edible food in the town. She was upset that the food she had ordered was freezing cold. She said it was because Reth had strayed from his path as a carpenter and should not have.

I completed the Purpose and Genoristy parts of the citizenship process and ran off to find Eshe to tell her the good news.

She told me that people liked the gifts I gave them and said that helping others and giving gifts are how Palian's express friendship and gratitude.

Hardwork is also the backbone of Palian society. A good citizen improves the village with their talent.

However, those tasks were not all I needed to do. I now need to find someone in the community to vouch for me. They are called Shepps. They apparently guide people to their ways and accept you as a member of their family. It requires a strong bond, so may take a while to find someone that fits that bill.

She then told me to get back to her when I had found someone who was willing to be my shepp as there is an acceptance ceremony.

I finished the Devotion part of my citizenship tasks. When I told Eshe about it, she told me that it is now my responsibility to uphold those values like the other Majiri do.

She then proceeded to complain about Kenli's current obsession with sandwiches, which he eats for every meal at the moment. Including those in between breakfast, lunch and dinner. That is, if he doesn't lose them in the process, including in the bathtub according to Eshe.

I bumped into Eshe again today in the Town Hall, she didn't seem to be too happy to see me, but then I haven't seen her happy yet. Hopefully that will improve over time. She mentioned me probably wanting a housing permit, which I guess was the next step up from getting a plot of land. So, yes please Mrs Magistrate. She mentioned the crown jewels of Akwindu as one of her personal wants. I wonder where or who Akwindu is.

I do feel sorry for her husband though. She seems to revel in insulting him. This time she calls him dimwitted. I doubt he is that bad, after all he is the Mayor. Right ? She then shoo'd me off so that she could finish her paperwork in time to do her etiquette work with her daughter Kenyatta, but not before suggesting I join in as I seem to need much help in the area. How positively rude.

And then she had the cheek to ask if I could get some leather for her new custom boots as she dreads dealing with Hassian.

Eshe the magistrate finally paid me a visit at the house today. She wasn't too impressed in my house makeover skills. But she did say it was presentable. That's a plus right ?

She then mentioned some sort of citizenship test. Devotion by completing lessons set by 3 of the Majiri, Purpose by advancing in at least one skill to prove you can contribute to society. And then, Generosity by giving to others, namely the villagers.
